I was digging for records and found an Urban Blight lp but it was (if I remember) european ska with a grafitti font logo. Weirded me out.

Holy shit! I haven't seen Urban Blight in about 3 years. I hope they still play their Breakdown cover. I will not be missing this.

FYI I will have copies of Distort for sale at this show. Right now I have about a dozen copies of issues 21, 22, and 23. Issue 21 is a split with Ratcharge from France (this issue is in English) and it is also a great zine. Here's more info from the man himself:
Image
There is a diary of the Straightjacket Nation SE Asia tour at the start of the year. There are also interviews with three American bands: Waste Management, Wasted Time and Watery Love. There is also an extended intro discussing Steve Albini. There is also a series of reviews of a popular style of modern vinyl release: the one-sided 12". From Limp Wrist to Harpoon Guns to Clockcleaner.
Image
This issue is primarily writing on records and fanzines, with no interviews.
Image
The content in my side of his milestone in publishing history is an interview with "the only embryonic all-Asian band in the country playing punk music and getting rowdy": Brisbane's Shock Value. The Asian community have been constantly petitioning me to include more content of an oriental nature, and in the interests of international relations, I'm obliging. Shock Value play fast, raw hardcore and they remind me of The Abused.

I will probably be selling Candy Cane Joe-Joes at the show. They are vegan.

everything is walking distance from the legion. yau's is a decent suggestion, but i'm also vegan, and there are much better options in the area.

ali baba is the best falafel in town, and the combo gets you fries and a drink under $6. can't go wrong, plus it is next door to and below used kids records. if you're in the mood for a burrito, there's la bamba, which is also near used kids. they tout "burritos as big as your head," and they're not joking. the super burrito is a honkin' slab of 'rito, the veggie (i usually remind them no cheese no sour cream, just in case) comes with refried beans, rice, A WHOLE AVOCADO, hot sauce, and some lettuce/tomato/onion inside, for the traditional mexican fix. most of these places are open late too, later on weekends. mad mex is the place to go for post-show grub, if the show ends early. [mostly] half price menu after 10pm, but the kitchen closes at midnight. if you score a table in time, you can eat like a king for $5!! also, they have vegan cheese, soy sour cream, and tofu burritos. not traditional mexican by any stretch, but really good for what it is. and is only a stones-throw from the legion.

if you need any help, i live at the legion just ask me when you get here...

The band kickes in
They begin to rage
No-man's land
In front of the stage
Poseurs in the bathroom
Still looking at their hair
Thrashers in the foreground
Doing what they dare

In the pit

Thrashing and slamming
Like hell in the pit
Tomorrow they know
May not come
Banging and moshing
Like they don't give a shit
To the rapid beat
Of the drum

A boot to your forehead
A knee in your face
Your nose and lips
Start to bleed
Like a wild Indian
From outer space
Drunk and
High on weed

Guitar seems so fucking loud
People walking on the crowd
Diving off the P.A. stacks
Breaking ankles,necks and backs
Then the circle begins
In the thrashing pit
Fist are flying
People getting hit
Tooth chippers left and right
Skinheads in another fight
Banging heads and broken jaws
Because there are no laws

In the pit
