COLUMBUS DIY

Friends,

I am a 1st grade teacher in Lancaster City Schools and there are many families who need assistance to make ends meet, just to get by day to day in our community. As a teacher, I know these families personally and see what they go through everyday. It is more apparent now, that the weather is getting colder and the holidays are near that these families could use some help.

I was hoping to set up a benefit show in Columbus on either November 13th, or 14th, to raise money, and to collect food donations that will aid in our process of adopting needy families during the winter/holiday season.

In a few weeks, I will be moved into the 15th House, so I would like to do the show there.

I am writing this post to get feedback, see if any artists are available and up for playing a benefit show, and to check to make sure that this show would not conflict with any previously organized diy gatherings.

Please reply and let me know what you think. Let's collaborate and make this rad.

this is great, I hope others will be into taking part in this. I talked to everyone last night, Nukkehammer down (barring any circumstances that I talked to you about before).

I was made aware that there will already be a hardcore show with touring bands on Nov. 13th. So let's do this one on Nov. 14th at 15th House.

As far as donations, i think it would be rad if people contributed canned food, or other foods that will not expire too soon, cash donations, or winter apparel for children, such as hats, gloves, scarves, etc.

If you have space, Shredded Lettuce would be more than happy to help out. It seems like a hardcore kinda thing is starting to emerge, so maybe it wouldn't work, but if you need bands let me know, please!
