info from the ARAWAK CITY flyer:

FOOD NOT BOMBS
we share food with people downtown every sunday. we are about mutual aid and direct action in the sense of helping people. if you want to get involved email fnb@arawakcity.org or show up at the park behind the library around 3pm most sundays.

COLUMBUS INDEPENDENT MEDIA
http://www.cbusimc.org and http://www.arawakcity.org
we are independent media. we are working with the LPFM station to provide community news programming and local music. we rent out cameras for people to film what is happening in their community. we meet almost every wednesday 7pm at the IMC office we share with the freepress at 1000 e. main st. become the media!

CRITICAL MASS
biking is a right, not a privilege and critical mass attempts to bring the awareness of bikers and bike culture to the city by massing together on designated days and riding as a group. critical mass happens the last friday of every month. we meet up at the statehouse at 530pm. come and bike in solidarity. it's fun. also check out the bike co-op at http://www.thirdhand.org.

SDS & ANTI-WAR COLUMBUS
AWC & SDS are a group of students and others who are against the war. SDS stands for students for a democratic society. it is the resurgence of a group that was around in the 1960s and on the forefront of radical resistance to the vietnam war. it has reemerged in opposition to the iraq war. they meet thursdays 8pm at cafe kerouac.

FNB update:

We are currently serving food every Sunday from 2-4 pm at the Sporeprint infoshop located at 172 E. 5th Ave. Cooking for FNB starts at 12:30 at various locations. Recently we have been able to give away hot cooked food as well as free groceries such as fruit, vegetables, bread and bagels. Volunteers are always needed to cook, serve, clean and bring food donations. We aim to feed the homeless, activists, neighbors, friends and ourselves.
