Wow, really that bad? I just want another I record, to be honest. I was so psyched on Between Two Worlds came out, pretty bummed that they haven't really done anything with that since then.

I don't know dude....I listened to it after a few bong hits and thought it ripped pretty hard, but that was only the first 2 tracks. Upon further inspection later on I came to find that a lot of the songs are typical immortal fodder (how many songs can we write in the same key with the same 5 black metal chords?). However I do think there are a few choice riffs on it. Of course Abbaths lyrics are as misinterpret-able as ever. Track 4 has something to do with a vegetable troll, I'm not sure. However I will have to say that much of the album is forgettable, sadly. I agree with the between two worlds sentiment, that album was fucking incredible(title track blew though*cough*) all in all I will have to say that the new immortal album is a weak ass attempt to encroach on their rising popularity in the past 5 or so years. However I'm not saying its a bad album, but if you're expecting sons of northern darkness part deux you may want to look elsewhere....or start your own band and make your own god damn album to make up for your disappointment.

I listened to 5 or 6 songs on youtube while I was surfing the web and I have to say I caught myself head banging to a number of tracks. made me feel kinda dirty as the whole reunion thing kind of smelled of a cash grab so I was ready for it to be a let down. either way I probably wont end up buying it. I have to say I've also never listened to sons of northern darkness.

New Immortal is good. Not classic like Battles in the North or At the Heart of Winter.....
